EUROPE’S BEST KEPT SECRET
In1.999 the European partners of the
Minet Project visited the District. Some of them published an article in the local newspaper of
Cornwall describing
the huge importance of that they have saw.
This perception of our Heritage
confirmed the work of study and dissemination carried out from 1.991, when The Arrayanes Project was
published.
This big “secret” is a Heritage with
great historical, technological, cultural and socioeconomic values, that transcend the regional or
national dimension, with an exceptional concentration of remains, some of them unique in the world, and
representative
of a not frequent intensive sign of the Industrial Revolution.
