El Proyecto Arrayanes es una propuesta de protección, conservación, recuperación y puesta en valor del patrimonio minero industrial del distrito minero Linares-La Carolina. Nació coincidiendo con el cierre de la última mina de plomo, en 1991, pero las líneas básicas que en él se definen para conseguir los objetivos que se proponían siguen siendo válidas aún hoy.

En el transcurso de los años las circunstancias que afectan a nuestro patrimonio, así como la predisposición hacia el mismo que han demostrado las distintas administraciones, instituciones y propietarios de los terrenos, han ido cambiando. Por ello, desde nuestra Asociación vamos proponiendo proyectos de actuación y estrategias que permitan mejorar en cada momento la comprensión, difusión, protección y desarrollo de los valores culturales, históricos, tecnológicos, medioambientales y socioeconómicos que dan a nuestro Distrito importancia a nivel mundial.

Desde este sitio web pretendemos dar a conocer la información básica necesaria para comprender esos importantes valores patrimoniales y permitir el acceso a los datos básicos del Catálogo de emplazamientos mineros que en su día realizó el Colectivo para la Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía.

Coinciding with the close of the last lead mine in 1991, was published the Arrayanes Project, in which were defined the basic guides to protect, recover and put into value the mining heritage of the District. Around this document was been agglutinated a group of people that constituted in 1998 a non profit Association, the Colectivo Proyecto Arrayanes, to work voluntarily in order to achieve the objectives expressed in the project.

Along the years the circumstances affecting to the heritage are changing, as well as the actitud of the administration, institutions and land owners. This is the reason our Colectivo is making several proposals of projects and strategies in order to get better the understanding, spreading, protection and development of the cultural, historical, technological, environmental and socioeconomic values of our District.

From this website we want to make known the basic information necessary to understand the important values of our heritage and to make easy the access to the basic database of the Catalogue of mining sites carried out by our Colectivo for the Cultural Authorities of the Andalusian Government.
